Hole #5

Otterkill #5 from 100 yards rev.jpg

A 438 yard par 4, #5 is the number one handicap hole for good reason. The fairway turns almost a full ninety degrees to the left, requiring both length and accuracy in the tee shot.  The approach too is over water to a large green that is both fast and contoured.

Hole #6

This 370 yard par four has been recently modified with some additional length as well as a new bunker front and left of the severe green.  A pond guards the fairway on the left and there are trees on the right so accuracy is a key.  This elevated green may be the fastest on the course.

Hole #7

This hole plays every bit of its 561 yards.  With out of bounds along the left hand side and thick trees along the right hitting the fairway is essential if you want to have a reasonable length approach.  This steep green has several very tough pin placements.  Go over the green and you will struggle to get up and down.

Hole #8

This 380 yard par four can be had if you play a good tee shot.  An aggressive player will hit driver to give them a shorter approach.  The green is guarded by a large tree on the right side that makes right hole locations tough to get to.

Hole #9

This 190 yard par 3 is the easiest hole on the front side. The hole plays quite a bit downhill but the tee is often sheltered from the wind making club selection difficult.  Long and left are out of bounds.  Short is not bad here as you will have access to the pin no matter where it is on this fairly flat green.
